Parks Superintendent Village if McFarland
Job Description
The Village of McFarland has an immediate opening for Parks Superintendent in the Village’s Public Works Department. The Parks Superintendent will be responsible for providing management and supervision of the operations of the Parks Division and is responsible for supplying critical and routine direction to ensure the Village park system is properly funded, maintained, and necessary capital improvements are properly planned. Key responsibilities include plan development for maintenance activities, land management activities, maintaining of inventory, program development, customer service, revenue development, budgeting, forestry, planning, meeting management, and other related tasks to support the operations of the Department and Division.
Qualifications
The qualified candidate will possess the following education and experience:
- High school diploma or equivalency required with the minimum of an
- Associate’s degree preferred in the fields of parks, land management, urban forestry, or related field.
- Minimum of four (4) years of progressively responsible experience in the fields of parks, land management, urban forestry, or related field.
- Any combination of education and experience which in the sole discretion of the Village would demonstrate the ability to meet the required knowledge, skills and abilities for the position may also be considered.
- Candidate must possess or be able to obtain:
- Valid Wisconsin drivers’ license (with applicable Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) endorsements preferred but not required)
- Commercial pesticide applicators license
Salary/Salary Range This is an exempt, salaried position with a starting annual pay range of $77,894 to $105,157 (depending on qualifications).
