Job Description 

The City of Marshfield is seeking an enthusiastic and community-focused Events and Program Coordinator. This position is responsible for the overall development, implementation, supervision and evaluation all components of various programs and community wide small- and large-scale events and activities throughout the park system and community.

What You’ll Do?

  • Lead the planning, development, and execution of events and programs at premier locations.
  • Manage and grow programming at Wenzel Family Plaza to ensure it remains active and engaging.
  • Develop appealing programs and trips for adults 55+, with a focus on quality, accessibility, and participation.
  • Plan and execute events from concept through completion, ensuring strong organization, creativity, & attention to detail.
  • Collaborate with a dynamic team and businesses, organizations, and partners to bring diverse and high-quality entertainment and programming to the community.
  • Support economic vitality by developing events and programs that encourage tourism and community engagement.
  • Oversee budgets, vendors, and volunteers to ensure efficient and effective operations. 
  • Provide exceptional customer service and build strong relationships with co-workers, community members and stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Parks & Recreation, Event Planning, Marketing, or a related field.
  • 1–3 years of relevant experience in event coordination, programming, or community engagement.
  • Strong understanding of event planning, communications, and program development principles.
  • Valid driver’s license.

Salary/Salary Range
$66,144 - $71,656 Include the comprehensive full-time employee benefits.
