Job Description

The 4K Wrap Around Lead Teacher is responsible for planning, implementing, and supervising a safe, engaging, and developmentally appropriate before- and/or after-school program for 4K students. This position supports children’s social, emotional, and physical development while complementing the school-day 4K program. The Lead Teacher also provides guidance to support staff and maintains a positive, nurturing environment for all children.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that support social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development
• Supervise and ensure the safety of children at all times
• Create a welcoming, structured, and inclusive classroom environment
• Provide positive behavior guidance and support children’s social skills
• Communicate effectively with families, school staff, and program administration
• Supervise and support assistant staff or aides as assigned
• Maintain attendance records and required documentation
• Follow all program policies, procedures, and licensing regulations
• Assist with daily routines such as snack time, transitions, and clean-up
• Participate in staff meetings and required trainings.
• Works regular school year calendar.
• Start 2026-2027 school year.
• August 2026 will be starting date.

Qualifications

• Two- or four-year degree preferred in Early Childhood Education, Education, Recreation, or a closely related field OR A combination of college credits and relevant experience working with children in a recreational before- or after-school care program or in educational settings, including daycare centers

Salary/Salary Range
$45,000 - $50,000
