Job Description
The City of Appleton is accepting applications for the full-time, Grounds Coordinator. The purpose of this position is to maintain and enhance city-owned property and park land, while ensuring a safe, secure, well-developed, and beautifully maintained parks system. This is accomplished by using city equipment to complete daily tasks and objectives including the maintenance of community and neighborhood parks, athletic complexes, playgrounds, sports courts, pavilions, fountains, trail systems, and city facilities. Additional duties include the cleaning of restrooms, concession stands, and assist with community events and projects. The applicant should have a knowledge of materials and methods used in the construction and maintenance of grounds, as well as operational knowledge of equipment and tools related to groundskeeping. Work is performed under the general supervision of the Grounds Manager.

An associate degree in natural resources, horticulture, park management or related field, three to five years horticulture/park maintenance experience, or equivalent combination of education, experience and training.

Hours are Monday – Friday 6:30AM – 2:30 PM. This position could be required to be on call weeknight, weekends, and holidays.

Salary/Salary Range
$21.14 - $26.21 Hourly
